Blanche Montine "Brandy" Tharp, 66, born March 23, 1941, in Newark, Ark., went home to be with the Lord on March 18, 2008.
She loved traveling from coast to coast with her husband for his work as an International Brotherhood of Electrical Works electrician for more than 40 years, meeting many friends along the way.
She loved family get-togethers, yard-saling, buying and wearing ugly hats and the laughs that came with them.
She was the daughter of Elmer A. and Martha A. Passmore and the sister to Betty Jo Passmore, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of more than 28 years, "love of her life" James H. Tharp.
She is also survived by sons, James D. Hopper and Robert D. Hopper; and son-in-law and daughter, Phil J. and Julie A. Rebai, all of Golden Valley; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby J. and Barbra A. Passmore, and Richard C. and late wife Charlesetta Passmore; sisters and brothers-in-law, Chet J. and Shirley M. Rielley and Charles R. (Richard) and Loretta Watkins; 10 grand children, P.J. and Stephanie, Todd and Tracey, Brent, Sarah, Brittney, Brandon, Brandie and Ricky; and seven great-grandchildren, Phillip and Dustin, Bryce, Breann and Kagen, Tyler and Hailey.
There will be celebration of life held in her honor March 29 at 11 a.m. at the family home in Golden Valley.
