Molester sentence: 30 years
Kruse had two victims under the age of 15
John D. Kruse, 32, of Kingman accepted a plea agreement and pleaded guilty Thursday to one felony count of sexual conduct with a minor, two counts of attempted sexual conduct with a minor, one count of attempted molestation of a minor and one count of attempted sexual exploitation of a minor.
Kruse was originally charged with seven felony counts of sexual conduct with a minor, three counts of molestation of a minor and nine counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. The other charges were dismissed as part of the plea agreement and no further charges will be brought against Kruse involving the two victims in the case or any child pornography dated before Aug. 16.
Kruse will serve 20 years in prison for the sexual conduct with a minor charge and 10 years for the attempted sexual conduct, attempted molestation of a minor and attempted sexual exploitation of a minor. The sentences, according to the agreement, will be served consecutively for a total of 30 years in prison and a lifetime sentence of probation.
He will have to register as a sexual offender, pay a $250 fine and wear a GPS monitoring device upon his release. He will also have to pay any restitution for medical or counseling services the victims may need.
Kruse will also forfeit any items seized by theKingman Police Department during the investigation of the incident.
Kruse was arrested by KPD for a domestic violence incident on Aug. 16. As officers were investigating the incident, information was revealed that led officers to believe that Kruse was involved with sexual conduct with and the molestation of two minors under the age of 15.
Officers also found videotapes and computer evidence, along with child pornography. Officers believe the acts occurred between May 2002 and August 2008.
Kruse will be sentenced at 11 a.m. on Dec. 4.
