Letter: Support Prop 102 and Watson
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all my supporters in the 2008 election for the Mohave County Board of Supervisors District I position.
Many of you gave unselfishly in so many ways that I want to express my sincere appreciation for all that you did toward establishing encouragement, support and hard work.
Thank you also to the voters of District I who made it a priority to put forth effort in getting to the polls in the Primary Election in September and voting for me.
Although I did not gain victory in that election, I want to extend my humble thanks to each of you for all that you did in making my campaign a success in its own right.
The position of the Board of Supervisors is our most significant leadership for the representation of Mohave County, and we as voters and residents need wise and bold leaders who make the concern of the people of Mohave County their top priority.
I am confident that Gary Watson will be that leader, and I would encourage all of you to make it your top priority to vote on Nov. 4.
In these perilous times of financial struggle, I believe Gary Watson will be the man who will work hard and not be hasty in making decisions that will harm the financial status of Mohave County, but rather consider all the facts and availability of funding in making the right decision for you, the people.
I would like to also encourage you to vote Yes! on Proposition 102 on Nov. 4.
Marriage was originally intended to be a one-man, one-woman holy union when it was instituted hundreds of years ago. Let's continue to regard and respect marriage as the commitment it was meant to be.
If we are to allow marriage to become a man-man or woman-woman institution, we will be establishing a gigantic, monumental black river that will bust through the oaks of truth and justice that have withstood the test of time, planted by our forefathers who knew the difference between right and wrong.
And from that river will flow many foolish and negative repercussions we cannot even imagine for the generations of our children and grandchildren in the years to come.
Please join me in supporting the sanctity of marriage and vote Yes! on Proposition 102.
