The Labor Day weekend turned deadly for some travelers on U.S. Highway 93 Monday.
Officials from the Lake Mohave Ranchos Fire Department responded to the two-vehicle accident at 5:22 a.m. on U.S. 93, 16.5 miles south of Temple Bar Road near milepost 35.5.
It appears that one vehicle crossed the median, rolled and struck the other vehicle.
Four people were killed in the accident and three others were flown to Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas.
Arizona Department of Transportation closed the southbound lanes of the highway until noon.
