Road work planned north of Kingman

KINGMAN - The Mohave County Public Works Department has the following construction projects and roadwork scheduled in the Kingman and Golden Valley areas for this week:

• North of Kingman, workers will be repairing pavement edges and intersections throughout the area, and sealing roadway cracks on Potter Avenue from Benton Street to Marshall Drive, on LeRoy Avenue from Melody to Bank streets, and in the residential area east of Castle Rock Road.

• In the residential area east of Castle Rock Road, crews will also be trimming trees and brush to improve line of sight at intersections.

• In Valle Vista, crews will be maintaining shoulders and mowing.

• In Golden Valley, workers will be removing brush on Chino Drive from Colorado Road to Milky Way Road, and in Crystal Springs Estates, followed by Verde Estates.

• A channel maintenance project is in progress under the direction of the Flood Control District, and various companies have been contracted to complete projects throughout the county. Overgrown vegetation and garbage is being removed, erosion gullies are being filled, and the channel slopes and bottoms are being reshaped.

Stockbridge Northwest is in Kingman, working in the Mohave Channel between Gordon Drive and Bank Street, and from Northern Avenue to Thompson Avenue.
