Fall Fun Run set to head to Winslow
KINGMAN - The Route 66 Association of Arizona, the same organization that hosts the famous Route 66 Fun Run annually in May, has announced the first-ever Fall Fun Run on Saturday and Sunday.
The run will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Powerhouse Visitor Center in Kingman. Participants will drive Route 66 to Winslow with stops in Seligman and Williams. Upon arriving in Winslow, participants will get a tour of the historic La Posada Hotel.
There will be a breakfast Sunday morning, followed by a walking tour of Winslow. After a barbecue hosted by the city of Winslow, a caravan will begin to make its way back to Kingman.

Dinner to honor vets of Middle East
KINGMAN - The Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club is organizing a dinner to honor veterans of Afghanistan and Iraq and their families.
Veterans are encouraged to contact Shanna Rodenbaugh at (928) 263-0800 or Gene Crego at (928) 263-2810.
The dinner will be held during Veterans Day week in November at the Elks Lodge.
Save on fair admission with food
KINGMAN - You can save $1 on admission to the 62nd Annual Mohave County Fair by donating a canned food item at the door to the Kingman Area Food Bank.
The fair begins Thursday and runs through Sunday at the Mohave County Fairgrounds.
The fair opens every morning at 10 and closes at 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday with a 6 p.m. closing time on the last day.
Admission is free for children age three and younger. It is $2 for ages 4 to 11 and those 62 and older. For everyone else, admission costs $5.
