MCSO warns of a pair of possible scams

KINGMAN - The Mohave County Sheriff's Office is warning residents of two possible scams.

The first is a possible telephone scam. The caller tells the resident that they have won $55 million. They then request that the resident send a $250 fee in order to process the transaction.

The caller then asks for a bank account number. The incoming number is (876) 463-9855 and is from Jamaica.

The second is a mail scam. A resident will receive a letter stating they have been selected as a mystery shopper.

Enclosed is a check for the resident's time and expenses. The check is fraudulent.

MCSO warns against residents giving out personal or bank information.

Residents who suspect fraud should contact their local law enforcement agency.
