Public Works has several projects scheduled this week
KINGMAN - The Mohave County Public Works Department has the following construction projects and roadwork scheduled in the Kingman and Golden Valley areas for this week:
North of Kingman, workers will be building shoulders with aggregate base on Lomita Street and Bond Street from Northern Avenue to Jagerson Avenue, and the east-west streets in between. Crews will be sealing roadway cracks on Thompson Avenue from Castle Rock Road to Highway 66, on Van Nuys Road between Gordon Avenue and Northern Avenue, and farther north on Cactus Wren Road between Cherum Road and Stockton Hill Road, and on Calle Castano
West of Kingman, workers will be maintaining shoulders on Hualapai Mountain Road from the city limits to Hualapai Mountain Park.
In Golden Valley, crews will be sweeping intersections on Chino Drive from Bosque Road to Milky Way Road. Traffic control crews will be painting centerline striping on Chino Drive from Bosque Drive to Egar Road, and on Milky Way Road from Highway 68 to Chino Drive.
The Flood Control Division has contracted with the County Road Department to perform channel maintenance in Valle Vista. Work includes wash maintenance, cleaning out culverts and constructing aprons at six low-water crossings. The project began in the area of Cayuse Drive, and is working northwest towards the end of the subdivision.
In the Meadview and Dolan Springs area, crews will be repairing potholes and pavement edges in western Meadview.
