KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies responded to a two-motorcycle collision Wednesday afternoon about 10 miles from Oatman on Oatman Highway. According to MCSO, one motorcycle was headed eastbound when it collided head on with another motorcycle headed westbound. Anthony Clark, 42, of Las Vegas was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center. He was flown to a hospital in Las Vegas Wednesday night. Justin Goodman, 37, also of Las Vegas was flown directly to University Medical Center in Las Vegas from the accident. MCSO is investigating the accident.
KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Michael Steven Boettger, 19, of Kingman Tuesday evening on suspicion of felony possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. At 10:16 p.m., deputies made contact with a male subject, later identified as Boettger, as he sat in his vehicle outside of the entrance to a park located in the 3000 block of Jagerson Avenue. Deputies questioned Boettger about having anything illegal in his possession. Boettger allegedly advised deputies that he had a pipe in his pocket used to smoke marijuana. A search of Boettger revealed a ceramic pipe with burnt residue and a plastic bag containing marijuana. Boettger was taken into custody and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
DOLAN SPRINGS - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Mark Dewayne Eikenbary, 44, of Dolan Springs Wednesday morning on suspicion of felony possession of drug paraphernalia, taking contraband into a corrections facility and a misdemeanor warrant for contempt of court issued by Kingman Justice Court. At 10 a.m., deputies contacted Eikenbary in the 19000 block of Highway 93 regarding an unrelated investigation. A records check showed Eikenbary to have an outstanding warrant. He was taken into custody and booked into the Mohave County Jail. As Eikenbary was being processed, a glass pipe with residue was located in Eikenbary's pocket.
KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Tony Gortariz Jr., 24, of Kingman Wednesday evening on suspicion of felony possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful flight from law enforcement. At 5:37 p.m., deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle continued traveling without stopping. Deputies followed the vehicle into a wash off of Thompson, near Powell. The vehicle stopped at the culverts that run underneath Northern Avenue. At that time, the driver, later identified as Gortariz, exited his vehicle and began running through the wash and across Northern Avenue. Deputies followed Gortariz on foot and eventually caught up with him in a vacant field in the area of Butler Way and Northern Avenue, where he was taken into custody. A search of Gortariz revealed a plastic bag containing marijuana and numerous plastic bags. Gortariz was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
