KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue Units responded to a call at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday of a stranded male and an 11-month-old female. The male, identified as Ryan Donald Higuera, 23, of Kingman advised that he drove his vehicle down an ATV trail near the Ranger Station in the Hualapais and became stranded in the snow. SAR Units hiked into the location and assisted in getting both Higuera and baby out of the area. Medical treatment was not required.
KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies responded to a two-vehicle injury accident that occurred on Thompson Avenue at Bond Street early Monday evening when a Geo Prism proceeded through the intersection after stopping and struck a Pontiac Grand Am. The driver of the Prism thought the intersection was a four-way stop. Both drivers' were transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center by River Medical with minor injuries. Alcohol and speed are not a factor in the accident investigation.
GOLDEN VALLEY - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Brandon Lee Churchill, 24, of Kingman Monday morning for felony theft. Deputies responded to a delayed report of a theft at a residence in the 2200 block of Neal Avenue in Kingman around 10:16 a.m. Deputies contacted the reporting party, a 56-year-old male victim. The victim said that about three months ago, a coin collection, along with a rifle and ammunition, was stolen from his residence in Golden Valley. The victim advised that Churchill, his girlfriend's son, returned his rare coins and admitted to taking them. Deputies contacted Churchill, who admitted to stealing the coins. Churchill was arrested without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
