Man booked for taped sex assault of child, 8

KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's detectives arrested Randolph Lee Schoen, 58, of Kingman, Thursday morning on suspicion of four felony counts of sexual conduct with a minor, four felony counts of child molestation, felony possession of stolen property and felony trafficking stolen property.

Wednesday evening, deputies were contacted by a woman regarding a possible sex offense. The woman advised that she allegedly located a videotape of a sexual nature of Schoen with an 8-year-old girl.

At 9:36 a.m., detectives contacted Schoen at a residence in the 11500 block of North Rock Road. Detectives also found Schoen in possession of a reported stolen firearm.

Schoen was transported to the Mohave County Sheriff's Office where he was interviewed about the alleged videotape. During the interview, he allegedly confessed to having sexual acts with the child.

He was taken into custody and booked into the Mohave County Jail. Child Protective Services took custody of the child.
