KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Larry James Karr-Bonagofsky, 38, of Lake Havasu City Thursday morning for felony failure to register as a sex offender and sex offender failure to obtain and carry identification. Karr-Bonagofsky initially contacted the Sheriff's Office in March, advising deputies that he is a registered sex offender and that he would be in the county visiting for a week. At that time, deputies advised Karr-Bonagofsky that he did not need to register. Upon further investigation, deputies learned that Karr-Bonagofsky had been living in the county for a couple months. At 9:38 a.m., deputies contacted Karr-Bonagofsky at a residence in the 2600 block of Stingray Lane. During conversations with Karr-Bonagofsky, he admitted to living at the residence. A records check showed Karr-Bonagofsky's identification card issued out of Arizona had expired in 2006. He was taken into custody and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
