Ruth Ann Elizabeth Hall
Ruth Ann Elizabeth Hall, 70, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2009, in Kingman. She was born July 6, 1938, in West Branch, Mich., to Joseph and Lillian Weiler.
While visiting friends in California in 1957, she met and then married her husband of 52 years, Larry R. Hall. From California, the couple moved to Idaho, then to Casa Grande, Ariz., and finally settled for good in Kingman in 1962. For several years she stayed at home to care for her three children. In 1982, she took at position with the Kingman school district as an assistant in the art department at Kingman Junior High School. She made many friends while at KJHS and enjoyed working with the kids, but after 18 years she retired in 2000. Ruth was also an avid collector of antiques, glass baskets and Boyd's bears, which we all helped her accumulate throughout the years. She loved her home in the Hualapai mountains and preferred to stay there than anywhere and spend time with her family and her beloved grandchildren, whom she spoiled.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Larry Hall Sr., her two daughters, Terri Covington and Connie (John) Fitzsimmons. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, Craig, Josh, Brittney, Kyleigh, Tallen, Mikayla, Trey, Connor, Elizabeth, Carissa and Shelby; along with one great-grandchild, Autumn. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lori, her young son, Craig, and most recently by her adult son, Larry Jr.
The family will host a casual Celebration of Life get together to honor Ruth at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 27th, 2009, at the family home in the Hualapai Mountains. All who knew Ruth are welcome to attend and reminisce about her. Please contact either Connie Fitzsimmons at 530-3464 or Terri Covington at 727-4258 for directions.
