KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Eric Joseph Metz, 51, of Phoenix last Sunday afternoon on suspicion of felony possession of drug paraphernalia, along with misdemeanor open liquor container in vehicle and driving with suspended license. At 4:50 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Stockton Hill Road and contacted Metz, the driver. A records check showed Metz to have a suspended license. He was taken into custody without incident. A search of the vehicle revealed an open can of beer in the center console and a glass pipe located inside a sock. He was booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested John Chavesse Saffell, 51, of Kingman Monday afternoon on suspicion of felony possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and a misdemeanor probation violation warrant issued by Kingman Municipal Court. At 1:13 p.m., deputies observed a man with a bloody face and shirt walking by himself and pushing a bicycle east on Butler Avenue near Melody Street. Deputies contacted the man, identified as Saffell. Saffell said he did not want medical treatment as he had just fallen from his bicycle. Deputies smelled an odor of marijuana coming from Saffell. A records check showed Saffell to have an outstanding warrant. He was taken into custody. A search of Saffell's belonging revealed a wrapper containing marijuana. He was booked into the Mohave County Jail.
KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Clayton John West II, 34, of Kingman Tuesday morning on suspicion of felony possession of dangerous drugs and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. At 4:45 a.m., deputies followed a suspicious vehicle into a business parking lot located in the 4500 block Stockton Hill Road. Deputies recognized the male subject as West when he exited the vehicle. Deputies learned West had a warrant for failure to pay fines issued by Kingman Justice Court. Deputies took him into custody without incident. West was found to be in possession of a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance, which tested positive for methamphetamine. He was booked into the Mohave County Jail.
KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report at the Mohave County Jail on Monday regarding an assault on a medical employee by an inmate. At 7:30 p.m., deputies spoke with a detention officer. The officer reported that he was in a holding cell with inmate Jeffery Dale Scott, 52, of Lake Havasu City. Scott was lying on the ground face up and he appeared to be unresponsive. Deputies contacted a nurse. The nurse reported that she entered the cell to check Scott's vital signs when he grabbed her shirt with his right hand and hit her in the face with his left hand. The officer immediately forced Scott to release the nurse from the hold he had on her shirt. The nurse said that during the altercation that her glasses were damaged. Deputies observed swelling on the nurse's face and a bruise on her leg. The nurse was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center where she was treated and released. Deputies contacted Scott. Scott said he was having a seizure when someone put their fingers in his nose and he swatted them away. He was charged with felony aggravated assault on a health care practitioner and criminal damage.
KINGMAN - Kingman Police officers arrested Paul Carlos Garcia, 26, of Bakersfield, Calif., Tuesday on suspicion of felony possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana in a school zone and a felony warrant from California. At 3:30 p.m., officers received a report of a man smoking marijuana in Centennial Park. A large bag of marijuana and drug paraphernalia was found in Garcia's vehicle. He was taken into custody and booked into the county jail.
GOLDEN VALLEY - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested four illegal immigrants May 2. At 1:55 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 68 at Adobe Road. Deputies contacted the driver, identified as Vazquez Garcia Jorge by his Mexico identification card. Deputies observed three passengers in the vehicle. Deputies determined that all four subjects did not have legal status in the United States. Immigration and Customs Enforcement placed a hold on the four subjects. They were taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County Jail where ICE later took them into custody. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Marty Brandon Tisdale, 28, of Golden Valley last Sunday morning on an outstanding warrant. At 6:40 a.m., deputies contacted a male subject who appeared to be trying to avoid law enforcement while walking in an alley near Diagonal Way and Elmer Drive. The man was identified as Tisdale. A records check showed Tisdale to have a felony warrant for dangerous drugs violation issued by Kingman Justice Court. He was taken into custody and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Andrew Albert Mannarelli, 40, of Kingman last Sunday afternoon on an outstanding warrant. At 1:15 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on North Bank Street and Gordon Drive. Deputies contacted Mannarelli, the driver. A records check showed Mannarelli to have a felony fugitive from justice warrant issued out of Clark County in Nevada. He was taken into custody and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
KINGMAN - Kingman Police officers arrested Ernest Martinez, 70, of New Mexico Wednesday on suspicion of felony possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. At 10:45 a.m., officers responded to an auto parts store in the 3300 block of Stockton Hill Road in reference to a subject smoking marijuana. Officers contacted Martinez and he admitted to having some marijuana and paraphernalia. Martinez was booked into the Mohave County Jail.
