MCSO hosts Italian buffet fundraiser
KINGMAN - The Mohave County Sheriff's Office is fighting a new and different battle.
MCSO safety dispatcher Krista Dix was diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer in September. She lost her fight against the disease in February at the age of 36.
In honor of Dix, the Sheriff's Office will participate in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
The MCSO, Chef Gaul and the Kingman High School Robotics Team have teamed up to help collect donations. They will be hosting an Italian buffet dinner at the Kingman High School North Campus from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday.
The KHS Robotics team will entertain diners with a demonstration of their robots.
Tickets are $5 each or $15 for a family of four. Tickets can be purchased from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Sheriff's Office, 600 W. Beale St.
