KINGMAN - The multi-use bike and foot path south of Interstate 40 between Stockton Hill Road and Harrison Street will close for a period of about three months starting Monday, to allow for a $100,000 landscape enhancement project paid for by the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The project, to be performed by local contractor Kingman Landscape and Maintenance, will add a variety of desert plants and decorative boulders to the pathway, as well as an irrigation system. Construction will take place from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, though the path will remain closed to foot and bicycle traffic on weekends until construction is completed.
Detroit Avenue and Motor Avenue have been designated by ADOT as alternate routes throughout the duration of the project.
