County court seeks advisor

KINGMAN - Mohave County Superior Court is looking for a volunteer to fill a vacancy on its Judicial Employee Merit Commission.

The commission is made up of local residents and court employees who meet four times a year and review and advise the court on possible employee merit rule changes, said Court Administrator Kip Anderson. Each member serves a four-year term.

The position is not paid. Residents interested in applying should submit an application for appointment to the Superior Court Human Resource Office, P.O. Box 7000, Kingman, AZ, 86402. The application can be found at the court Web site, www.mohavecourts.com. All applications must be received by 5 p.m. June 19.

Presiding Superior Court Judge Randolph Bartlett will appoint the new commission member.

The commission is currently comprised of Amy Sugamele from Lake Havasu City and Susan Chan, Jackie Walker and C. David Cooley from Kingman.

It also includes Audrey MacDonald from the Clerk of Courts Office, Josh Frisby from the Probation Department, Kara Letcher from the Superior Court and Lori Linn from the Court Law Library.
