KHS grads to collect diplomas tonight

KINGMAN - Tonight, 414 students from Kingman High School and Positive Alternatives for Student Success will receive diplomas in the traditional graduation ceremony at Lee Williams Field.

The ceremony begins at 7 p.m. at the football field on the campus of White Cliffs Middle School, 400 Grandview Ave., and will last between an hour and 90 minutes.

Gates open at 5 p.m. and attendees are encouraged to arrive early for optimal seating.

Principal Pat Mickelson will preside over this year's graduation, which has been held on Lee Williams Field since Mickelson joined the district more than 20 years ago.

While KHS does not have valedictorian or salutatorian speeches, several student council members are expected to address the graduating class of 2009.
