Classes at Manzanita Elementary School collected food to be distributed by the Salvation Army to people in need this holiday. Here, student council officers are shown with some of the food baskets Tuesday just before they were picked up by the Salvation Army. Clockwise from top are President Ian Durrett, Vice President Garrett Newberry, Treasurer Connor Howard and Secretary Tayiah Rasmussen. Classes collected about 25 baskets of food. There were contests for most food collected, most creative basket, and other categories.
