This weekend,  April 3-4th,  St. Mary Roman Catholic Church will celebrate the Paschal Feast of the Lord's Resurrection. The weekend Mass schedule is as follows:

Holy Saturday, April 3rd:

8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.  Confession (Confesión)

10:00 a.m. Blessing of Food Baskets (Vestibule)

7:30 p.m. Paschal Vigil Mass

Paschal Sunday, March 28st:

8:00 a.m. Mass of the Lord's Resurrection

10:30 a.m. Mass of the Lord's Resurrection

5:00 p.m. Misa en español  (Mass in Spanish)

The Mass schedule for Holy Triduum and the Paschal Feast at St. Mary Church are as follows:

Holy Thursday; April 1, 2010:

Mass of the Lord's Supper 6:30 p.m.

Good Friday; April 2, 2010:

Stations of the Cross 12:00 Noon

Passion and Death of the Lord 4:00 p.m.

Holy Saturday, April 3, 2010:

Paschal Vigil Mass 7:30 p.m.

Paschal Feast of the Lord's Resurrection, April 4, 2010:

8:00 a.m. Mass in English

10:30 a.m. Mass in English

5:00 p.m. Misa en español

Notes:

(1) Parish Offices will be closed on Good Friday (4-2-10) and Monday (4-5-10).

(2) No daily Mass on Thursday and Friday (4-1/2).

(3) The Adoration Chapel will be closed Tuesday, March 30th, through Sunday, April4th. A note is in place by the sign-in book in the Chapel with specific times.

(4) There will be no Anointing of the Sick on First Friday, which falls on Good Friday. This will resume at daily Mass, First Friday of May.

Divine Mercy Novena:  The Divine Mercy Novena will be held at St. Mary Church beginning on Good Friday (4-2-2010) and continuing through the 2nd Sunday of the Paschal Season [Divine Mercy Sunday]  (4-11-2010) at 3:00 p.m. on each of the novena days. If you cannot attend the public novena at the Church, please join us in this beautiful novena from whatever location!

Just a reminder:  Fridays during Lent (including Good Friday) are days of fasting and abstinence from meat/poultry for Roman Catholics. If you have questions, please call the Parish Office at 753-3359.

A Pancake Breakfast to benefit our St. Mary Youth Group will be held on Sunday, April 4th , after the 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Masses (on the Paschal Feast of the Lord's Resurrection). Your donation for breakfast will support our youth! Also, prize drawing tickets for a flat screen television will be sold. Stop by  for a nice family breakfast and help our youth!

Do you yearn to learn more about Sacred Scripture? Do you desire to have a meaningful, spiritual discussion of the Gospels? Come join us on Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Center!

Congratulations to our parish family at St. Mary Church for meeting (actually, exceeding!!!) our goal for the annual Charity and Development Appeal for the Diocese of Phoenix! The funds support over 70 ministries/groups/facilities within the Diocese of Phoenix that serve God's people!

Many thanks to all who think of the annual Christmas Jail Ministry project throughout the year! We will not be able to accept magazines, Christmas cards, etc. for this effort until September, due to lack of space. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that you may be able to hold your donations until then! Thank you all again for your help!

This liturgical year, 2009-2010, has been proclaimed the Year of the Priest by Pope Benedict XVI. We urge everyone to join our Holy Father in praying for vocations and for all Priests, Deacons, Religious and seminarians, as they fulfill their mission of spreading the Good News of salvation!
