KRMC doc excels at treating kids
KINGMAN - Kingman Regional Medical Center announces that Dr. Lyanna LaFredo has joined its medical staff and will begin serving patients in Kingman this month.
As a medical doctor specializing in pediatrics, she is an expert in providing preventive care and treating illness and injury in infants, children and adolescents.
LaFredo says she has always loved children and realized her greatest dream by becoming a doctor to serve them. The eldest of seven siblings, she was born and raised in Dagupan City, Philippines. She attended medical school at the University of the Philippines College of Medicine and completed her residency in pediatrics at the State University of New York in Buffalo. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Before coming to Kingman, LaFredo practiced in Columbia, S.C. She is highly skilled in diagnosing and treating complex medical problems and in providing routine health maintenance and preventive care to age 21. She has a special interest in the medical care of infants, beginning with prenatal consultations with expectant mothers. She also excels at treating behavioral problems in children, including those with ADHD and autism.
Her approach to children's medical care is to "give special attention to serious issues, but to make seeing a doctor as fun as possible for the child." She works closely with the child's parents or guardians to inform them of choices and involve them in every medical decision.
