KINGMAN - Kingman Police Detectives along with a Sheriff's Office sex offender registration specialist deputy responded to the 900 block of Andy Devine Avenue April 14 and arrested Andrew John Kozar Jr. for failing to register as a sex offender. Kozar failed to register after moving to a new residence, violating registration rules. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Anthony Michael Ewing, 20, of Dolan Springs April 16 for felony possession of narcotic drugs and a warrant. Deputies recognized Ewing as he was walking southbound on Pierce Ferry Road around 3:30 p.m. Deputies knew Ewing to have an outstanding warrant. A records check confirmed his contempt of court misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Municipal Court. Ewing was arrested without incident. He was allegedly found to be in possession of two narcotic pills. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Steven L. Grundy, 54, of Golden Valley April 16 for aggravated DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .08 percent, extreme DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .15 percent and less than 20 percent, and DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .20 percent, felonies. Deputies responded to an intoxicated subject in the 3400 block of Bowie Road around 7 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies observed a Grundy walking from a vehicle toward a residence. Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Grundy, who allegedly admitted to having been drinking. Deputies said Grundy told them he was returning home after he drove to Kingman and got something to eat. Following the field sobriety tests, Grundy was arrested and transported to the Mohave County Jail where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration to be .207 percent. A records check revealed Grundy to have two prior DUI arrests. He was booked into the jail without incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Kimberly Ranee Smith, 31, of Kingman April 16 on a felony parole violation warrant issued by Arizona Department of Corrections and two misdemeanor warrants for contempt of court issued by Kingman Justice Court and Kingman Municipal Court. Deputies responded to a loud music report in the 3000 block of Butler Avenue around 6:52 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Smith. Deputies knew Smith to have outstanding warrants. A records check confirmed the active warrants. Smith was arrested without incident. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Derek Robert Algea, 27, of Kingman April 16 on a felony parole violation warrant issued by Arizona Department of Corrections. Deputies responded to a disturbance in the 2600 block of Neal Avenue around 11:52 p.m. During the investigation, deputies contacted a male subject who was walking away from the residence. The subject initially identified himself as another person. Deputies determined the male subject's identity to be Algea. A records check showed Algea to have an outstanding warrant. He was arrested without incident and transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
