Fried attorney says client unsure who Walker was
KINGMAN - An attorney for a Kingman man accused of attempting to bring a pitchfork into the County Administration Building has filed a second motion to dismiss the case.
Eric Engan, the attorney for Mervin Fried, stated that Fried had no reasonable way of determining if County Manager Ron Walker had the authority to order him off the property.
Fried was arrested for trespassing on Feb. 16 after he attempted to enter the County Administration Building with a pitchfork after attending a political protest on the sidewalk.
Walker was dressed in a suit and tie, therefore, Fried had no way to determine if he was a member of the public or a county official, Engan states.
A hearing to discuss the motion has not been set.
