KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Stephany Marie Charlesworth, 22, of Kingman Sunday afternoon for felony possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies observed a vehicle traveling approximately 70 miles per hour in a posted 35 mph zone around 12:10 p.m. A radar gun confirmed the vehicle was traveling 70 mph. As deputies followed the vehicle, they observed the vehicle run a posted stop sign at Verdugo Road and Stephens Avenue. Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle continued without stopping. Deputies followed the vehicle as it pulled into an apartment complex in the 3500 block of Verdugo Road. They immediately detained the driver, later identified as Charlesworth, as she hurried to exit her vehicle. During conversations with Charlesworth, she said that she was late for work. Charlesworth was arrested without incident. A search of the vehicle revealed a pipe with burnt residue and a small film canister containing marijuana residue. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. Charlesworth was also cited for misdemeanor reckless driving. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested George Platt Jones II, 61, of Kingman Sunday for burglary and theft, felonies. Deputies responded to a burglary report in the 5800 block of Florita Road Oct. 16 and contacted a 49-year-old female victim. The victim reported the following was stolen from her property: four saddles, a 4x6 dump trailer, a red mini-bike, a 1984 black Chevy Blazer and a 1948 flat-bed Chevy truck. Investigations determined that Jones has a property next door to the victims' property. On-going investigations determined that Jones had given the saddles to a person, who knows the victim. The saddles and the mini-bike were recovered. Deputies contacted Jones at a residence in the 3800 block of N. Irving Street where he was arrested without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
