KINGMAN - Congregation Or Midbar, a Jewish congregation in Kingman, holds its annual Passover Seder at the Kathryn Heidenreich Senior Center, 1776 Airway Ave., on April 3. Doors open at 3:30, and the Seder will begin at 4 p.m.
Passover is a special holiday in which Jews celebrate freedom and commemorate the exodus of the Hebrews from Egypt. The Hagada, a book that tells the story of the Jews leaving Egypt to escape the Pharaoh who enslaved them, is read.
Matzo balls and Gefilte fish, as well as other traditional foods, will be served as part of our complete dinner at this year's Seder.
Children are included in the Seder by the asking of the traditional four questions to the leader of the Seder and discussing their responses.
The public is welcome. The cost for non-members is $20 for adults and $50 for families; and the cost for congregation members is $10 for adults and $25 for families.
