Vegas-bound travelers can now enjoy four lanes
U.S. 93 SOUTH OF HOOVER DAM
The final 15 miles of roadway construction south of Hoover Dam in Arizona is complete, providing travelers with a continuous four-lane divided highway on U.S. 93 from Kingman to the new Hoover Dam Bypass.
The Arizona Department of Transportation reminds motorists that minor construction activities, including installing guardrails, bridge painting, and other miscellaneous work will take place off the roadway, and will be ongoing through the end of December. The $71.3 million highway project also includes three wildlife overpasses, a new trailhead at milepost 4.1, a new scenic overlook at milepost 13.5, and an upgrade to the existing overlook at milepost 12.7 - all scheduled to open in December.
