Paving on U.S. 93 near Hoover Dam extended

KINGMAN (AP) - The Arizona Department of Transportation has extended paving work on the final 15-mile stretch of U.S. 93 south of Hoover Dam because of weather delays.

ADOT says paving between mileposts 10 and 17 will be completed by today and motorists should expect traffic delays up to 15 minutes to allow equipment to enter and exit the work.

The new southbound lanes between mileposts 10 and 17 are scheduled to open Nov. 3 after roadway striping is completed.

Paving will continue between mileposts 2 and 10 until the end of November.

When the new lanes are completed, U.S. 93 will be a four-lane divided highway between Interstate 40 in Kingman and the new Hoover Dam Bypass.
