Air show golf event Saturday

KINGMAN - The Kingman Air & Auto Show Inc. fundraising four-man best ball tees off at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Cerbat Cliffs Golf Course.

Revenues generated from the annual tournament will be utilized to help kick-start the plans for this year's Kingman Air & Auto Show slated for Oct. 8-9. Entry fee is $72 per player, which includes lunch. There will also be an optional $40 buy-in per player that includes skins. Players can sign up to play the morning of the event.

Goodale to address GOP women

KINGMAN - Doris Goodale, a member of the Arizona House of Representatives, will be the guest speaker when the Kingman Republican Women's Club meets at 11:30 a.m. May 2 in Conference Rooms A/B, Hualapai Mountain Medical Center, 3801 Santa Rosa Drive.

CPR class April 30

Cat spay, neuter event May 4-5

KINGMAN - For the Luv of Paws will hold an ultra low cost spay and neuter for cats, and a low cost vaccination event for both dogs and cats, in the parking lot of the Kingman PetSmart, located at 3260 Stockton Hill Road, May 4-5.

A paraglider had to be rescued from the mountains after he was caught in a crosswind.

Search and Rescue Units out of the Mohave County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the Cooks Canyon area in the mountains on the west side of Interstate 40 between Shinarump Drive and Beale Street around 9 p.m. Sunday.

The Department of Public Safety Air Ranger also responded. They landed on top of the mountain and loaded the 49-year-old paraglider into the helicopter for transport to the hospital, where he was treated for a chest injury.


Riata Dental hosts its Easter Extravaganza from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and noon to 3 p.m. Sunday. Face painting, a jump house and an Easter egg hunt are planned. Pizza and drinks will be served as well.
