In Memory of: Donna M. Reiser
Donna was born in Napoleon, Ohio, on Friday, Nov. 13, 1913, one of five children. She was mischievous and full of energy. She loved people and made many friends that she kept for her lifetime. She received her bachelor's degree for teaching from Bowling Green and moved to Casa Grande, Ariz., with her friend Margo and her brother James and his wife. She worked selling insurance and taught school while she obtained her master's degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson.
Donna moved to California to teach in the athletic department at Palomar College and eventually became a counselor. She became professor emeritus upon her retirement in 1975. Missing Arizona, she moved to Kingman where she enjoyed frequent trips to Laughlin. She won many times playing the slots and playing keno. While at the river, she would stay at the Mirage RV Park where she had a small park-model. Donna made many friends at Bullhead and loved to stay days at a time.
Donna passed away at 97 years of age on March 2, 2011, in Kingman. She was preceded by her close friend Mildred Ayers, who shared her home and many adventures, and by her brothers and one sister. She is survived by her many nieces and nephews, and many friends, especially Margo, her friend of 90 years, and Fran, Cheryl, Paula, Charles and Melanie, and many others.
We loved her so, and will miss her. She brought joy, laughter, and counsel to our lives and gave us so much.
