Ag science workshop for teachers is Aug. 27
KINGMAN - Mohave County 4-H School Enrichment Program invites all local educators to introduce students to the field of agriculture science.
The next workshop for teachers is set for Aug. 27 at the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension Agricultural Center. This workshop will introduce sample hands-on lessons from our 4-H School Enrichment Program (Chicken Embryology, Madagascar Cockroaches, Paper Air Rockets, Silkworms, and School Gardening).
The school gardening lesson will focus on how students can explore plant life cycles, examine plant diversity, and investigate the interdependence of plants, humans, and other living and nonliving things.
There are two session on Aug. 27. Teachers can join in from 9 a.m. to noon, or from 1:15 to 4:15 p.m.
The cost is $5 for early registration, or $20 at the door.
Participants will receive 3 CEU hours from Mohave County School Superintendent Mike File.
