H.A.L.T. (Helping Animals Lives Today) held a Christmas party at Kathryn Heidenreich Adult Center Saturday as a get-together celebration of the animal rescue work they accomplished over the year. There was food and a presentation of "The Business of Saving Lives," a video commissioned by the Helen Woodward Animal Center in San Diego, Calif. (which featured H.A.L.T. as well as other animal rescues across the country). In addition, Rachel Thalrose, who has been an active member for many years and worked on the H.A.L.T. website, announced her retirement. Here, members and friends of H.A.L.T. stand together Saturday afternoon. In the front are (left to right) Ann Albrecht, H.A.L.T. Kennel Manager, Lotti Benker, Founder of H.A.L.T., and Rachel Thalrose (holding documents and a hat for Lotti).
