Mohave 911: Tuesday, February 8, 2011

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Paul James Attencio, 40, of Kingman Wednesday for felony aggravated DUI. Deputies responded to disturbance at a convenience store in the 3000 block of Northern Avenue around 8:25 a.m. after dispatch was advised of an intoxicated male subject who was not allowed to buy alcohol. The male subject left driving a black Volvo. While en route, deputies observed the described vehicle traveling southbound on Stockton Hill Road. They conducted a traffic stop in the 4400 block of Stockton Hill Road and contacted Attencio, the driver. Deputies had Attencio exit the vehicle and reportedly smelled an odor of alcohol on Attencio, who denied drinking. Deputies reportedly observed Attencio swaying and stumbling as he was walking. Following the field sobriety tests, Attencio was arrested and transported to the Mohave County Sheriff's Office, where he refused to submit to a breath analysis. A records check showed Attencio to have a suspended license for a prior DUI. A blood sample was submitted to the DPS Crime Lab for further analysis.
