WIKIEUP - Construction to widen and improve a seven-mile segment of U.S. 93 north of Wikieup is under way. The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists to expect delays of up to 15 minutes from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. A no-passing zone is in effect until the completion of the project in the fall of 2012.
The Motorist Assist Patrol is in operation on U.S. 93 from Wikieup to the U.S. 93/I-40 traffic interchange. The MAP vehicle operates from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday through Tuesday to offer assistance to distressed motorists.
