Mohave County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report at the Mohave County Jail Thursday, Dec. 30, regarding an inmate in possession of drugs. Deputies contacted a detention officer at the Mohave County Jail regarding inmate Michael Shawn Miskowsky, 25, of Lake Havasu City who was reportedly in possession of a black tar substance. The detention officer said the substance was located while Miskowsky was showering. Miskowsky told deputies he found the drugs, which was determined to be heroin. Miskowsky was arrested for promoting prison contraband and possession of narcotic drugs, felonies.

Kingman Police arrested Cherish C. Nelson, 27, of Kingman Sunday, Dec. 26, on a felony charge of possession of narcotic drug and misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct by domestic violence and theft. Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in a residence in the 800 block of Parkview Lane around 2:45 p.m. where Nelson was ultimately arrested for disorderly conduct. She was then reportedly found to be in possession of numerous narcotic pills that she is alleged to have stolen from her mother. She was booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Kingman Police arrested Johnathan Chris Coulon, 22, of Kingman Monday, Dec. 27, on felony charges of weapons misconduct and disorderly conduct with a weapon. Officers had responded to a disturbance in the 900 block of Kenwood Avenue around 1 a.m. and found that Coulon had fired a shotgun into the air, allegedly by accident. Coulon, who is prohibited from possessing a firearm, was arrested and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Kingman Police arrested Shon Kelly Abbott, 24, of Kingman Saturday, Jan. 1, on a felony charge of aggravated assault and misdemeanor charges of domestic violence by criminal damage and disorderly conduct. Officers had responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 3900 block of Eagle Rock Road around 1 p.m. It was reportedly found that Abbott had damaged property in the home and assaulted another subject during the disturbance. The victim required medical treatment. Abbott was booked into the Mohave County Jail.
