Mohave 911: Monday, June 6, 2011

Kingman Police arrested Mark Roger Brassill, 52, of Kingman May 27 on a felony charge of forgery and misdemeanor charges of false reporting and two warrants for failure to pay fines. Officers responded to a motel in the 2000 block of E. Andy Devine Avenue around 10:50 p.m. to remove a trespasser. Brassill was contacted and allegedly provided false information to officers to avoid discovery of warrants. During a search of Brassill, officers reportedly found a forged California identification card and a forged Social Security card. Brassill was booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Kingman Police arrested Carl U. Love, 49, of Las Vegas May 27 on felony charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and a misdemeanor warrant for contempt of court on a previous drug offense. Love was contacted after it was found that he was camping in his vehicle without permission in the parking lot of a business in the 3100 block of Stockton Hill Road. Love was allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Sanford Allen Hornstein, 49, of Golden Valley May 27 for felony possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies reportedly observed a brown truck traveling quickly through a convenience store parking lot around 1:30 p.m. They said they saw truck jump the curb of the parking lot as the vehicle pulled out onto Stockton Hill Road traveling northbound. Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 3200 block of Stockton Hill Road and contacted Hornstein, the driver. Deputies reportedly saw a glass pipe with residue fall from Hornstein's lap as he exited the vehicle as requested. He was arrested without incident. Deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle and searched it. They allegedly found numerous plastic bags containing marijuana, five pipes with burnt residue and a white pill bottle containing hash. Hornstein was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
