Summer wrestling classes underway

KINGMAN - The Kingman Parks and Recreation Department will hold various wrestling classes during the summer. Classes will be Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at White Cliffs Middle School (3550 Prospector Road.) Cost is $10 per participant, per session, and $25 for all three sessions. Session I will be from June 20-July 1; Session II, July 5-15; Session III, July 18-Aug. 5

Classes are open to incoming grades K-12 and participants can sign up anytime. The classes will stress the fundamentals of folkstyle wrestling including takedowns, escapes, reversals and pinning moves. For more information, contact Marty Wolford at (928)-692-3113.

$10k Dolphin raffle

KINGMAN - The Kingman Dolphin Swim Team is holding its annual $10,000 raffle. Tickets are being sold for $100 each with only 250 tickets being sold. Tickets can be purchased at Monday though Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Centennial Pool or by calling Terry Miyauchi at (928) 279-2274.

KHS volleyball camp

KINGMAN - Kingman High volleyball coach Traci Rosenbach will be holding a volleyball camp July 25-28 and again Aug. 1-4 at KHS.

Cost of the camp is $50 and there will be two sessions. The beginner session, which will included grades 5-8, will be July 25-28 from 8:30 a.m. - noon. The advanced session for grades 9-12 will be held Aug. 1-4 from 8:30 a.m.- noon.

KHS football camp canceled

KINGMAN - The Kingman future football player camp scheduled for this weekend has been canceled.
