Obituary: Gil Alan Morgan
Gil Alan Morgan, 44, former resident of Dolan Springs, current resident of Laughlin, passed away Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011. He was born Feb. 21, 1966, in Simi Valley, Calif., and was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gilbert A. Moudry; father, Carl S. Morgan; mother, Marlene Moudry Morgan; and his sister, Cindy Morgan-Young.
Gil is survived by his girlfriend, Lisa Marecki; her children, Eric Marecki (Anne Berry) of Los Angeles, Daniel and Kimo Marecki of Laughlin; grandmother, Maxine Moudry of Fallbrook, Calif.; uncle, Dave Moudry of Ohio; aunt, Toni (Gary) Moudry of Santa Barbara, Calif.; uncle, Chris Moudry of Merrill, Ore.; sister, Debbie Morgan Adams of Victorville, Calif.; brother, Steven Morgan (Michele) of Eugene, Ore.; sister, Lorraine Morgan Scott (Ken) of Springfield, Va.; sister, Christine Morgan Hernandez of Sanford, Fla.; goddaughter, Christina Mize; and many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
Gil will be missed by all who enjoyed his free spirit and love for life! His "Dare to be Different" approach carried out in his day-to-day life was an inspiration to all whose path he crossed along his journey. Gil's beautiful smile and loving kindness will forever be imprinted in the hearts of those lives he touched.
A celebration of Gil's life will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, at Las Palmas Clubhouse in Laughlin (directly across from the Laughlin Library off Needles Highway).
