Brown receives NAU award
KINGMAN - Bethany Brown, a freshman business major and resident of Kingman, was honored at an award ceremony, for her scholastic accomplishments and participation in Northern Arizona University's Student Support Services (SSS) program.
"We are very pleased to have so many quality students in our program," Program Director Wendy Wallace said. "Participants in the SSS program enter with unique challenges and we help ensure their success through coaching and mentoring. We are pleased they have made a successful transition to the university. Compared with their peers, SSS students succeed and graduate at a higher rate. This is something to celebrate."
The Academic Achievement Award in the Student Support Services program recognized students who earned a 3.0 term GPA or maintained a 3.0 cumulative GPA after the fall 2010 term.
