Kingman Police officers arrested four subjects at 12:50 a.m. May 21 after responding to a disturbance in the 2100 block of Kingman Avenue. Steven Edward Meyer, 26, of Mesa was arrested on felony charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and three misdemeanor probation violation warrants. Edmond Jerald Harms, 27, of Golden Valley was arrested on a felony warrant for probation violation. The other two were arrested for misdemeanor offenses.All four were booked into the Mohave County Jail.
Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Zachary George Michael Kappes, 22, of Golden Valley and Shane Dennis Benson Jr., 24, of Kingman on May 13. Kappes was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, and driving on a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Benson was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 2800 block of Ames Avenue around 1:30 p.m. and contacted the driver, identified as Kappes. A records check showed Kappes to have a suspended license. He was arrested without incident. A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed a small canister containing marijuana and a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance, along with additional paraphernalia. Benson allegedly admitted these items belonged to him. He was then arrested without incident. Both were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Caryl Ann Sheely, 56, of Kingman on May 13 for fraudulent schemes, a felony. Deputies were contacted by a 19-year-old male who said Sheely had purchased a vehicle from him and agreed to make payments. The victim told deputies that when he attempted to cash the check, the bank advised him the account had been closed. Deputies contacted Sheely, who reportedly said the bank had closed the account in error. She told deputies she had attempted to contact the victim to return the vehicle. Sheely was arrested without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
