Year-long investigation of strip club nets drug arrests

BULLHEAD CITY - Mohave Area General Narcotic Enforcement Team detectives arrested the manager and several dancers of a Fort Mohave nude strip club over the weekend.

Bullhead City Police Spokeswoman Emily Montague said MAGNET detectives have been gathering information for the last year about possible drug and prohibited alcohol sales at Dream Girls, located in the 5400 block of Highway 95.

MAGNET executed a search warrant at Dream Girls Saturday night after conducting an undercover operation at the club during which detectives said dancers had sold marijuana and alcohol to them over the last month.

The manager of the club, 41-year-old Mohammed Omar Mahfouz of Fort Mohave, was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale, sales of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and misconduct involving weapons. Police allege that Mahfouz was selling marijuana out of his vehicle at the business. Inside his car they reportedly found a small quantity of marijuana, a digital scale and a handgun.

Dancers Sandra Jacqueline Barajas, 30, of Bullhead City, 19-year-old Jessica Lynn Christensen of Bullhead City, and 35-year-old Koco Corinne Frederick of Bullhead City were all arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and sales of marijuana. They had all allegedly sold an useable quantity of marijuana to narcotic detectives during the undercover operation.

Another dancer, 27-year-old Rebecca Ellen Welch of Mohave Valley, was arrested for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines and possession of drug paraphernalia (meth pipe) at the time of the search warrant.

All were booked into the Mohave County Jail.
