Kingman wounded warriors gifted with quilts of valor
KINGMAN - Twenty-two Wounded Warriors who saw combat from current conflicts dating back to World War II will be presented with Quilts of Valor by the Kingman Quilters Guild at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Mohave Museum of History and Arts, 400 W. Beale St.
Margie Huber of the Kingman guild said the presentations are part of a national program to honor veterans who suffered physical wounds or came home suffering from Post Tramautic Stress Disorder.
Guild members make the quilts "out of our pocketbooks and our hearts" for the veterans, Huber said, and the presentation to the veterans is "a moving ceremony, very touching."
The public is invited.
