KINGMAN - The Mohave County Sheriff's Office said it still does not know the exact cause of death of an as yet unidentified man found burned and dismembered last week.
Sheriff's Spokeswoman Trish Carter said investigators believe they know the identity of the man whose body was discovered in a remote area of Calle Alamo and Avenida Verde Wednesday, but that they are waiting for forensic analysis for a definitive identification.
The condition of the body will require an autopsy to determine an official cause of death.
George Allen Loader, 34, is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the body's discovery after a search warrant prompted by investigations was executed at Loader's home in the 2200 block of Devlin Avenue at around 3:30 a.m. Thursday.
Carter said the Devlin home has been determined to be the crime scene but did not release information on how or where the body was dismembered and burned.
The Sheriff's Office said it intends to release a tentative identification of the man once it notifies next of kin.
