Obituary: Eva Jane Symes
Eva Jane Symes was born in Walkins Glen, N.Y., Oct. 18, 1935, and she graduated from Walkins Glen Central High School, then moved to Staten Island, N.Y., and then to Hauppauge, Long Island. Eva also went to Suffolk County Community College to be a teacher and taught school for 17 years in New York, then moved to Phoenix in 1975, then to Kingman in 1996.
Eva is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Symes, and two daughters, Nancy Kautz from Phoenix and Terry Wilson from Tucson. She also has four grandsons, Michael Joyce of Kingman, Marc and Chris Kautz of Phoenix, and Brandon Wilson of Bella Vista, Ark.; and a daughter-in-law, Sabrina Joyce of Kingman; along with her great-grandchildren, Hunter Joyce of Kingman, Kaidin Kautz and Rhiannon Lewis of Phoenix; and her loving dogs, Shaka, Bella and Dixie.
Eva passed away on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011. There will be a memorial service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, at her home.
Eva was loved by all and we will miss her deeply. Thanks for being our everything and my high school sweetheart.
