Fundraiser helps local woman

KINGMAN - Kingman and Bullhead City firefighters will host a fundraiser for Tracie Stratton, a registered nurse who is fighting cancer, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 5 at Mother Road Harley-Davidson.

According to Bullhead City fireman Mike Villagran, Stratton has worked at Kingman Regional Medical Center, Hualapai Mountain Medical Center, and The Cancer and Blood Specialists of Nevada, in Bullhead City. She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2010. Since then, she has had a bi-lateral mastectomy, 18 weeks of chemotherapy, and two brain surgeries. She was diagnosed with brain cancer earlier this year, and doctors say Tracie has about one year to live.

All donations can be mailed to: Mike Villagran, 1260 Hancock Road (Fire Station 1), Bullhead City, AZ 86442. Make checks payable to Tracie Stratton. Call Villagran at (928) 758-3971, ext. 5500 for more information.
