High Five: Alexis Diaz
Alexis Diaz, 17, a senior at Kingman High School, was chosen as a Student Rotarian by the Kingman Rotary Club. She is the daughter of Richard and Nancy Diaz. Alexis stated that she feels so honored to be selected as a Student Rotarian. She is grateful for the opportunity. For her presentation to the members of the Rotary Club, she sang "Ave Maria" and spoke about the National Evangelical Lutheran Churches of America Youth Gathering in 2012 in New Orleans. Alexis is a member of the National Honor Society, Hispanic Student Union, Kingman Youth Coalition, Beating Up Teen Tobacco, the Drama Club, varsity tennis, football manager, All Starz Academy gymnastics and dance coach, singer and dancer. Alexis plans to attend the University of Arizona next fall and plans to major in animal science. Her career goal is to become a marine biologist. Alexis is thankful to have had the honor of being a Student Rotarian - the first picked from Kingman High School this year.
