Kingman Police arrested Curtis Chokie, 32, of Kingman Nov. 25 on felony charges of vehicle theft, criminal damage, flight from law enforcement, trespassing, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of narcotic drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers were taking a vehicle theft report form at a residence in the 3900 block of Prairie View Drive when another officer located the stolen vehicle being driven on Eastern Avenue around 11:30 p.m. The driver reportedly fled and eluded pursuing officers until crashing into mailboxes in the 3200 block of Sage Street. The driver, later identified as Chokie, fled on foot, but was captured a short time later after he was found hiding in the backyard of a nearby home. Chokie was allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine, narcotic prescription drugs, drug paraphernalia and property taken from the stolen car. He was booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Kingman Police arrested Devina Cook, 22, of Kingman Nov. 27 on felony charges of aggravated assault on a juvenile, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Cook was arrested around 6:30 p.m. after a 13-year-old male reported being grabbed and punched by Cook while in the 3300 block of Harrison Street. It was reported that the 13-year-old had approached Cook and asked to use her cell phone. Witnesses said she then grabbed the youth and punched him in the face. Officers located Cook a short distance away and discovered her to be heavily intoxicated. She was reportedly also found to be in possession of prescription-only narcotic drugs, marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia. She was booked into the Mohave County Jail on the above charges, along with a misdemeanor warrant for contempt of court in an unrelated incident. A 19-year-old with Cook at the time of the incident was also taken into custody for minor in consumption of alcohol and a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Travis Dean Fields, 36, of Kingman, Thursday, for felony possession of drug paraphernalia and a failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court. Deputies contacted Fields around 9:30 a.m. near North Charles Drive and Northern Avenue. A records check showed him to have an outstanding warrant. He was arrested without incident and told deputies that he had a pipe in his pocket but it was not his. Deputies reportedly located a glass pipe with burnt residue. Fields was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Kingman Police arrested Lauriano L. Lovato, 44, and Emili F. Gillin, 23, both of Kingman, Nov. 23 on a felony charges of residential burglary. Gillin was also charged with felony vehicle theft. Officers responded around 7:30 a.m. to a vacant residence in the 2200 block of Lucille Avenue after neighbors reported suspicious activity at the vacant home. Officers arrived and discovered a door forced open and Lovato and Gillin inside. Gillin was wanted in a previous, unrelated vehicle theft incident where it was alleged that she had stolen a vehicle from a family member. Both were booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Alicia Yost, 53, of Kingman Friday for felony possession of drug paraphernalia and a failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court. Deputies contacted a female subject around 1 a.m. as she was walking in the area of Swan Drive and Robin Lane. She was identified as Yost. A records check showed Yost to have an outstanding warrant. She was arrested without incident. Deputies reportedly found Yost to be in possession of two syringes. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Hattie Sabrene Thornton, 39, of Kingman on Friday for felony possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies conducted a traffic stop around 11:30 p.m. in the 5000 block of Highway 68 and contacted the driver, identified as Thornton. A records check showed Thornton to have a suspended driver's license. A search of the vehicle allegedly yielded several small plastic bags with a white crystal substance, a pill bottle containing marijuana, a glass pipe and a small scale. Thornton was taken into custody without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Shunda Louise Catalano, 32, of Kingman Sunday for felony possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies contacted Catalano around 8:40 p.m. at a residence in the 3600 block of Lum Avenue. During conversations with deputies, she allegedly admitted to being in possession of a glass pipe. Deputies retrieved the pipe that had a burned white residue. A search also reportedly revealed Catalano to be in possession of syringes and a white, powdery substance that was found inside a metal container. Catalano was arrested without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Kristine Marie Eckles, 20, of Kingman Sunday for felony possession of marijuana and two charges of possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies conducted a traffic stop around 2:40 a.m. in the area of Butler Avenue and Patsy Drive and contacted the driver, identified as Eckles. While speaking with deputies, Eckles reportedly appeared to be nervous and confused. A Mohave County Sheriff's Office K9 unit arrived and searched the vehicle. The search yielded a plastic bag containing marijuana, a metal pipe with marijuana residue and a glass pipe with a white residue. Eckles was arrested without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Samuel Lee Johnson Jr., 41, of Kingman Monday for felony possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies contacted Johnson around 1 a.m. in the 2300 block of McVicar Avenue. While speaking with deputies, Johnson allegedly admitted to smoking marijuana. He reportedly retrieved a bag from his pocket containing a metal pipe and marijuana. A search of the vehicle reportedly yielded several plastic bags containing a white residue and syringes. Johnson was arrested without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
