Marjorie Ann Carlson, 74, of Kingman passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, in her home.

Marjorie was born on Oct. 26, 1938, in Alliance, Ohio, and moved to Kingman in 1947 with her mother and father, Margaret and Ralph Brock, and brother, Gerald "Jerry" Brock.

She attended Kingman schools and graduated from Mohave County Union High School.

Marjorie was married to James Lee Roy Carlson on Aug. 10, 1960. They were married for 51 years.

Marjorie worked at the Mohave County Treasurer's Office for many years as well as Mohave Savings and Loan, and owned and operated both Dairy Queens with her husband.

She taught ceramic classes, loved reading, knitting, painting, decorating for the holidays, family gatherings, was a wonderful crafts woman and, most of all, cherished her family.

Marjorie is survived by her husband, James Lee Roy Carlson; four children, Roger Carlson, Mark Carlson, Alan Carlson and Jennifer (Carlson) Johnston; her 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a large extended family. She was loved by many and will be missed.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home, 1701 Sycamore Ave.

Burial will follow the funeral at Mountain View Cemetery.
