Kingman Photo: Take note of these young musicians
The Arizona Music Educators Association's All-State Honor Band Festival recognizes the best-of-the-best middle school musicians from across the state of Arizona annually. A school record number of nine Kingman Middle School students will represent Kingman Unified School District on March 16 when the festival is held at Valley View High School in Surprise. Nearly 400 sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade musicians will gather for a day of intense rehearsals, culminating in a grand performance. The Kingman Middle School band representatives are: (front row, left to right) Olivia Smith (percussion), Emma Blake (flute), Faith Proferes (flute), Megan Evans (clarinet); (back row, left to right): Colton Bell (trombone), Alisha Valdez (clarinet), Madison Arave (clarinet), Kylene Dan (percussion) and Cammie Grimes (bassoon).
