Kingman Letter: Thanks to everyone that helped Stephanie Hobbs
I would like to submit this as a thank you.
New Year's Day was a bit rocky for my 13-month old daughter, Stephanie Hobbs, who was actually featured on the front page of the Daily Miner in a November story about Black Friday shopping.
On Jan. 1, Stephanie was having a rough time breathing. Her mother and I took her to the ER at KRMC. The staff and doctors advised she would need to be admitted for further treatment.
Moments after arriving in her room on the second floor, Stephanie experienced complete respiratory failure. The staff at KRMC sprung into action to resuscitate and intubate her to allow artificial breathing by way of a respirator. A helicopter ride to Phoenix Children's Hospital was to follow. Stephanie spent the rest of the week in ICU, where she made a remarkable recovery.
We would like to say a big thank you to the ER, nursing, and life flight staff at KRMC, as well as Dr. S. Kahn. You saved my baby girl's life.
Also to the doctors and staff of the PICU at Phoenix Children's hospital.
Another huge thank you to Grandma and Grandpa Dahl and all of our other family and friends whose thoughts and prayers surely contributed to Stephanie's recovery. We are forever grateful.
