The Bureau of Land Management is requesting public nominations to fill three positions on its national Wild Horse and Burro Advisory Board. Nominations are for a term of three years and are needed to represent the following categories of interest: humane advocacy, wildlife management, and livestock management. The Board advises the BLM, an agency of the Interior Department, and the Forest Service, an agency of the Agriculture Department, on the management and protection of wild free-roaming horses and burros on public lands administered by those agencies.

The Golden Valley Fire District will conduct its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Public Safety Center, 423 S. Colorado in Golden Valley.
According to Fire Chief Tom O'Donohue, it was decided the meetings will now be conducted at the Public Safety Center instead of Fire Station 12. This month, fire department personnel be will conducting a tour of the new facility on Colorado about 30 minutes prior to the monthly meeting.
